Is Royal Reels a scam?
We do not use that word as a verdict; here are the labels and records that exist, so you can judge the evidence yourself. The Australian Communications and Media Authority asked Australian internet providers to block Royal Reels in July 2023 for breaching the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, under section 313 of the Telecommunications Act (ACMA, ACMA blocks 5 more illegal offshore sites, July 2023). Verified.
On complaints specifically, Casino.guru states that Royal Reels does not cooperate with its complaint specialists and has closed cases unresolved after no response (Casino.guru, Royal Reels Casino review, as of July 2026). Verified.
Ratings on the databases pull in different directions. Casino.guru gives a “High” Safety Index of 8.2 despite finding no licence, with user feedback marked “Mixed” from 19 reviews (Casino.guru, Royal Reels Casino review, as of July 2026). Verified. AskGamblers lists a CasinoRank of 5.2/10, a player rating of 2/10 from one review and one unresolved complaint, while LCB members score it 3.1/5 from seven votes (AskGamblers and LCB reviews, as of 3 June 2026). Verified.
Why it matters: a database score is a commercial rating, not consumer protection, and ACMA says Australian law cannot help you recover money held by an illegal offshore service.
What we don’t know yet: our searches found 12 news items naming Royal Reels (2 from ACMA, 10 in trade press), none mainstream Australian, plus sponsored-style “reviews” elsewhere (Royal Reels Watch research desk, own web-search count, 6 October 2026). That finding is Under investigation, and we have not verified who paid for those reviews.
If money is at stake for you, see what the records say about player protection and where to get help.
What do Royal Reels reviews on Trustpilot say?
Most are one-star, and withdrawals are the single biggest theme. Trustpilot shows the main domain at 1.8/5 (“Poor”) from 176 reviews: 75% one-star, 17% five-star, 4% three-star, 3% two-star and under 1% four-star (Trustpilot, Royal Reels profile, global site, as of 6 October 2026). Verified.
Our own tally of the 80 most recent reviews on that profile (October 2024 to May 2026, 77 of them from Australia) classified the subjects as follows. This is our rough classification, not Trustpilot’s.
| Theme in our tally | Reviews |
|---|
| Withdrawals | 20 |
| KYC and document requests | 9 |
| Account closures | 9 |
| Claims that games are “rigged” | 9 |
| Positive overall | 10 |
The profile was claimed in August 2024, the company answered 85% of negative reviews, and the most recent review on it is dated 10 May 2026 (Trustpilot, Royal Reels profile, global site, as of 6 October 2026). Verified. Trustpilot also hosts profiles for nine other brand-named domains, three of which Trustpilot removed. Verified.
Why it matters: review platforms carry self-selected samples, so they show which problems recur, not how often they happen across all customers.
What we don’t know yet: our 80-review tally is our own reading and the categories are ours, so another reader could sort the same reviews differently.
What do players say on Reddit about Royal Reels?
The Reddit material we found is about blocked sites, pending payouts and accounts going quiet after a win, and we could only see it in a search index. One post says: “I won 10k on big bass splash with royal reels, didn’t use a bonus depot, I went to withdraw 9k (thats the daily limit) and my account got logged out.” (Reddit, undated, thread on r/BestCasinosAustralia; seen in a search index only.)
Another, about a crypto payout, reads: “Its been processing for almost 3 days, Trying to cashout 5K AUD” (Reddit, undated, r/royalreels; seen in a search index only). A third says: “Royal reels withdrawal issue, withdrawal submitted and funds missing, there is no record in player history and support said there is no withdrawal .” (Reddit, undated, r/OnlineCasinoGambling; seen in a search index only.)
These are what individual posters said, not established facts, and we could not open the threads to confirm context or dates.
Related to the same pattern, Reddit posts seen only in a search index say the casino “moved to a new site with the number 2” after the ACMA block (as of July 2023). That finding is Under investigation; the threads were not opened. The number changes themselves are traced in our investigation into the numbered mirror domains.
Does Royal Reels respond to complaints?
It responds on Trustpilot, but Casino.guru records it as not cooperating with mediation. The company answered 85% of negative Trustpilot reviews (Trustpilot, Royal Reels profile, global site, as of 6 October 2026). Verified. Casino.guru says Royal Reels does not cooperate with its complaint specialists and has closed cases unresolved after no response (Casino.guru, Royal Reels Casino review and complaint file, as of July 2026). Verified.
Of 15 Casino.guru complaint files we read (2023 to 2026, 14 of them Australian), withdrawals led the subjects with six. Three were resolved, one unresolved, and 11 were rejected or closed, nine of those after the player went silent (Casino.guru, as of 12 March 2026). Verified.
The 14 Australian complaints in that sample disputed about A$92,860, from A$50 to A$50,000, with three disputes of exactly A$9,000 (Casino.guru, as of 12 March 2026). Verified. That A$9,000 figure matches the daily cap most databases list on our withdrawals page.
Casino.guru’s own text cites 14 complaints while its counter shows 100, probably including related casinos (Casino.guru, as of July 2026). Needs clarification — we cannot tell from the page which brands the 100 covers, so treat it as possibly overstated for Royal Reels alone.
When replies are recorded, their wording repeats. Trustpilot, Casino.guru and AskGamblers users report new document requests after wins even when already verified, with company replies citing missing documents (as of 10 May 2026). Verified. Casino.guru and Trustpilot users also report accounts closed soon after wins, often unexplained, with company replies citing “security and risk management procedures” (as of 25 July 2026). Verified. Those two patterns are set out in detail under account restrictions and KYC.
Why it matters: if the main independent mediator records non-cooperation, a complaint filed there may end without a ruling either way.
What else recurs in the reports
Two further themes appear across platforms and are less clear-cut.
Support reviews are mixed: some praise 24/7 help, others report template replies, bots and chats closed mid-sentence (Casino.guru and Trustpilot, as of 10 February 2026). Needs clarification — the sources disagree, and we have no way to measure typical response quality.
Some Trustpilot and Casino.guru players allege low returns or “rigged” games; we found no audit either way (as of 10 May 2026). Needs clarification. No source names a testing laboratory, which we cover under games and fairness. Losses alone do not demonstrate unfair games.
This topic is marked Verified: withdrawals lead the complaints in our watch status, last checked on 6 October 2026. The 38 withdrawal reports behind that line are analysed in our withdrawal complaints investigation.
