Main finding
Since July 2023, Royal Reels has been reachable through a run of numbered mirror sites, and the public record shows those mirrors keep being added to Australia’s blocking list. We read seven ACMA quarterly reports covering Q3 2023 to Q1 2026 and counted 14 or more blocked Royal Reels domains numbered up to 21, alongside mirrors of Reef Reels, ReefSpins and The Pokies (Verified, as of March 2026). The number in a Royal Reels address is not a version, a region or a product line. It is what changes when the previous address is blocked.
That is why searches for royal reels 21, royal reels 20, royal reels 24 and royal reels new site keep surfacing different hosts. We do not publish any of these addresses, and we do not say which number resolves at any given moment. The brand cannot legally be offered to people in Australia, so naming a working address would be promoting access to a blocked service.
Scope and dates
This investigation covers the period from the ACMA action of July 2023 to our last check on 6 October 2026. The domains topic was last checked on 6 October 2026 and carries the status: verified, numbered mirrors keep being blocked. We review it weekly.
We looked at four kinds of material: ACMA’s own records and quarterly reports; review databases and affiliate pages that list an address for the brand; traffic estimate tools; and player reports on Trustpilot, LCB, Casino.guru and Reddit. The underlying legal position is set out on our ACMA block and legal status page.
Evidence
What the records and sources show about the numbering
| What the source says | Source | As of | Status |
|---|
| 14 or more blocked Royal Reels domains numbered up to 21, plus Reef Reels, ReefSpins and The Pokies mirrors, across 7 quarterly reports read | ACMA, Action on interactive gambling reports (Q3 2023 to Q1 2026) | March 2026 | Verified |
| Royal Reels ran on the brand’s original .com domain in 2023; AskGamblers still lists it; ScamAdviser and Website Informer date that registration to July 2016 | ACMA formal warning to Digibrite S.R.L.; AskGamblers; ScamAdviser; Website Informer | June 2023 | Verified |
| Affiliate pages list numbered domains (17 to 21) as the address | Slotozilla, SlotsSpot, LCB | July 2026 | Verified |
| Entain’s Australia and New Zealand chief executive claimed the brand was “up to Royal Reels number 189.com”; the ACMA lists we read show fewer | ASGAM; GamblingNews | 9 March 2026 | Needs clarification |
| Estimated September 2026 traffic fell 87% on mirror no. 23 and rose 74% on mirror no. 24; top search terms include “royal reels 23” | Similarweb traffic estimates | September 2026 | Needs clarification (modelled) |
| Estimated September 2026 visits: mirror no. 23 drew 100% from Australia, mirror no. 24 drew 65% (30% New Zealand); affiliates sent 66% to 78% of desktop visits | Similarweb traffic estimates | September 2026 | Needs clarification (modelled) |
| Our own web searches found 82 hosts with Royal Reels-style names, plus 38 unrelated sites and 14 spam pages about the brand | Royal Reels Watch research desk search count | 6 October 2026 | Under investigation (pages not opened) |
| Reddit posts seen in a search index only say the site “moved to a new site with the number 2” after the ACMA block | Reddit thread, Royal reels gone? | July 2023 | Under investigation (threads not opened) |
The ACMA count is the hard floor here, not the ceiling: five of the twelve quarterly reports in the window were not read, so more numbered domains may be listed in them.
The Entain claim of 189 and our own count of 82 hosts with brand-style names are not the same thing as blocked domains, and we do not treat either as a domain tally. Many of the hosts our searches returned could be clones, affiliate pages or parked names. We did not open them.
What players describe
| What the player describes | Platform and date | Verification |
|---|
| An address going offline mid-withdrawal | Trustpilot, 16 July 2025 | Seen on the page |
| The address changing repeatedly | LCB, about 2025 | Seen on the page |
| The site becoming unreachable from Australia after the block | Reddit, undated | Seen in a search index only |
| A move to a numbered site after the block | Reddit, undated | Seen in a search index only |
On Trustpilot on 16 July 2025, one reviewer wrote: “The royal reels 16 website has now been taken down??! And am I even gonna see my withdrawal?!” (Trustpilot review).
An LCB member, posting about 2025, wrote: “But they keep changing URL which is a bit odd for me.” (LCB).
Two undated Reddit posts in a thread from after the July 2023 block read: “Is Royal reels officially gone for AUS now? Is there anyway to access the site?” and “the official website of the Royal Reels casino was blocked by ACMA and then moved to a new site with the number 2” (Reddit, Royal reels gone?). Both were seen in a search index only; we did not open the threads. These are what individual players said, not established facts, and they are not representative of all customers.
Why “what is the real Royal Reels website?” has no clean answer
No register we checked lists an approved Royal Reels website, which is why the terms quoted across this site come from third-party databases rather than an official source (Under investigation, as of 6 October 2026; Curacao Gaming Authority licence registry and TipCasino). Review databases, affiliate pages and traffic tools each point at a different numbered host, and the numbers move.
Trustpilot also hosts profiles for nine other brand-named domains, three of which Trustpilot removed (Verified, as of 6 October 2026, per Trustpilot). A review profile carrying the brand name is therefore not proof that a given address belongs to the brand.
The app question runs the same way. No official app was confirmed: LCB says one exists, other databases describe browser play, and four Google Play listings we checked returned 404 (Needs clarification, as of 6 October 2026). Where the official address itself is unsettled, anything presented as “the Royal Reels app” cannot be matched against an official listing. More on that in our transparency check.
Method
We read ACMA’s published quarterly reports on action on interactive gambling and the June 2023 formal warning, and counted the Royal Reels domains named in them. We recorded the number in each domain and nothing more; we did not visit any of them.
We then compared those records with the addresses listed on review databases and affiliate pages, with Similarweb’s modelled traffic estimates for two mirrors, and with player reports mentioning a changed or dead address. Similarweb figures are estimates produced by a model, not measured traffic, and we label them as such.
Our own search count of 6 October 2026 was a count of search results, not an audit: we did not open the pages, so we cannot say what any of them actually hosted. The research desk did not open an account, deposit or withdraw. Our full approach is set out in how we tested Royal Reels.
Response from the operator
No response from the operator is on record in our evidence base. We invite one and will publish it in full alongside these findings; the operator or its representatives can reach us through our contact and evidence page.
What remains uncertain
Five of the twelve quarterly reports in our window are still unread, so the figure of 14 or more blocked domains numbered up to 21 is a floor, not a total.
The Entain chief executive’s claim of “up to Royal Reels number 189.com”, reported in March 2026, is Needs clarification: we could not match it to any register or ACMA list, and the ACMA records we read show far fewer.
The Similarweb movements on mirrors no. 23 and no. 24 are modelled estimates and should not be read as confirmed visit counts. Our count of 82 brand-style hosts is Under investigation because the pages were not opened. The Reddit accounts of a move to a numbered site are Under investigation for the same reason.
We also cannot tell readers which address, if any, is operated by the company ACMA warned, because no register we checked lists an approved site. If you are chasing money held on an address that has gone offline, note that ACMA says Australian law cannot help recover money held by an offshore casino; free, confidential support is available 24/7 from Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858.
